Fish Audio Raises $52M Seed Round for AI Voice Models
Fish Audio announced in a company blog post that it raised $52 million in seed funding on its first anniversary. The round was led by Coreline Ventures and Capital Today, with participation from 359 Capital, Parable, Play Time, Alphalist Partners, Bayhouse Ventures, Carya Venture Partners, and HF0.
The Palo Alto company has shipped five audio models in its first year: four speech generation models and one speech to text model. Its Fish Speech repository on GitHub has more than 31,000 stars, and the company reports more than 8 million users across open source and hosted versions of its models.
Fish Audio reports $21 million in annual recurring revenue and more than 2 million voice models in its community library. Its platform supports 83 languages and more than 15,000 natural language controls for voice generation.
The company offers creator plans with generation minutes and voice cloning, plus APIs for enterprise customers. Its S2.1 Pro model is available through the paid API, and Fish Audio is making it free for developers through the end of August.
Fish Audio plans to work on an audio understanding language model and a speech to speech model. It is also expanding developer tooling, API work, and its enterprise team.
