Fal.ai has become the official API partner for Krea 2, the first foundation image model built from scratch by Krea. The model is now available to developers through Fal’s generative media platform in two variants, Medium and Large, each offering different performance and pricing tiers.

Fal.ai has become the official API partner for Krea 2, the first foundation image model developed entirely from scratch by Krea, announced in a press release. Developers can now access Krea 2 globally through Fal’s generative media platform.

Krea 2 is available in two versions. Krea 2 Medium is a smaller and faster model optimized for illustrations and artistic styles, starting at $0.030 per image. Krea 2 Large is more than twice the size, offering stronger performance in photorealism and textured aesthetics, starting at $0.060 per image. Both models include features such as aspect ratio control, seed-based reproducibility, and style transfer.

The model introduces two main systems for enhanced creative control. The style transfer feature allows users to apply visual styles from reference images, with adjustable weighting per input. The creativity parameter gives developers control over how closely outputs follow the text prompt, ranging from literal rendering to more interpretive results.

According to Fal, both Krea 2 variants are accessible through its REST API and client libraries for Python and JavaScript. The models can be used for applications in illustration, photography, and other visual media projects.
