F5 Becomes Gold Member of Cloud Native Computing Foundation
F5 has elevated its membership to Gold within the Cloud Native Computing Foundation, announced in a press release. The move broadens F5's collaboration on open source projects such as OpenTelemetry, Kubernetes Ingress, and Gateway API to enhance secure networking, application delivery, and AI-driven observability across cloud native infrastructures.
As a Gold Member, F5 will work more closely with the CNCF community on initiatives that improve scalability and security for Kubernetes and multicloud environments. The company, which also sponsors the NGINX project, contributes to refining Kubernetes Ingress and Gateway API standards and developing real-time telemetry tools for application visibility.
The CNCF noted that F5’s increased involvement will help advance secure and scalable AI inference workloads, an area where cloud native infrastructure plays a critical role. Through its expanded membership, F5 joins other industry leaders in supporting open source innovation across cloud, AI, and edge computing ecosystems.
