
Entropy Robotics and SRI Collaborate on Autonomous Navigation
Entropy Robotics, an AI-driven startup specializing in autonomous software for robots and drones, has announced a strategic collaboration with SRI to advance autonomous navigation in challenging environments. This collaboration was announced in a press release.
As part of the collaboration, Entropy Robotics will gain access to intellectual property from SRI's visual navigation suite. This technology is designed to enable autonomous navigation in austere and GPS-denied environments, aligning with Entropy Robotics' mission to simplify and scale robot and drone autonomy through their low-cost software and sensor suite.
Chris Lemuel, CEO and cofounder of Entropy Robotics, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, highlighting SRI's navigation technology and engineering expertise as key assets in making software-driven autonomy more accessible. Ryan Lewis of SRI Ventures noted that the collaboration represents a strategic expansion into the unmanned aerial systems sector, enhancing navigation, precision, and reliability across various industries.
