Emerson Electric Adds AI Agents to Ovation Platform

Emerson Electric has expanded its Ovation AI portfolio with new agents for plant operations, maintenance, alarms, diagnostics, and loop performance monitoring.

Emerson Electric has expanded its Ovation AI portfolio with new AI agents for plant operations, the company announced in a press release.

The new agents include Sequence Assistant Agent, Alarm Insight Agent, Predictive Maintenance Agent, Root Cause Agent, and Loop Performance Monitor Agent. They are designed to work with the Ovation Automation Platform 4.0 release.

Emerson said the agents are embedded in existing control, alarm, and maintenance workflows. They provide contextual recommendations inside those tools, reducing the need for operators to switch between systems.

The company said the agents can reduce diagnostic and analysis work from hours or days to minutes. The system uses a human in the loop design, with operators retaining control while the agents analyze plant conditions and recommend optimizations.
