Elsevier has appointed Brent Gordon as the new president of its global Healthcare Education business unit, focusing on digital learning platforms for healthcare professionals.

Elsevier has appointed Brent Gordon as the president of its global Healthcare Education business unit, announced in a press release. Gordon, who currently leads Elsevier's Nursing and Health Education division, will now oversee innovation across the company's educational solutions, which include AI, 3D animation, and digital simulations.

Gordon's expanded role will involve spearheading advancements in Elsevier's portfolio, which serves over 10 million learners globally. The solutions under his leadership include Sherpath AI, ClinicalKey Student, and Shadow Health, among others. With over 25 years of experience in education technology, Gordon has been instrumental in launching initiatives like Elsevier 360 for Nursing and Sherpath AI, the first generative AI tool for nursing education.

Jan Herzhoff, President of Elsevier Health, praised Gordon as a visionary leader whose focus on innovation will drive the transformation of healthcare learning. Gordon expressed his commitment to equipping learners and healthcare professionals with AI-enabled tools and predictive analytics to improve patient outcomes and advance healthcare education.
