Einride and Scan Sverige Partner to Electrify Refrigerated Freight in Sweden
Einride and Scan Sverige have announced a partnership to electrify temperature controlled freight operations in Sweden, according to a press release. The collaboration targets one of Scan Sverige's key refrigerated transport routes, connecting Linköping and Eskilstuna, which represents about 25 percent of the company's outbound refrigerated volume.
The route will be operated using Einride's electric heavy duty trucks capable of handling a 64 tonne gross combined weight. Charging will take place at Scan Sverige's Linköping depot and at Einride charging stations along the route. The vehicles will recharge during driver rest periods, allowing continuous operation with minimal downtime.
The transition from diesel to electric trucks on this corridor is expected to reduce emissions by approximately 860 tonnes of CO₂e annually. Einride’s digital platform, which includes its Saga AI optimization software and integrated charging infrastructure, will manage route planning and energy use for maximum efficiency.
Einride stated that it now serves more than 30 enterprise customers across seven countries, with around 92 million dollars in expected annual recurring revenue from signed contracts and over 800 million dollars in potential long term revenue through joint business plans.
