Dyna Robotics has raised $23.5 million in a seed round to develop cost-effective embodied AI robots, focusing on tasks like folding and food preparation.

Dyna Robotics has raised $23.5 million in a seed funding round co-led by CRV and First Round, announced in a press release. The funding will support the commercialization of embodied AI through low-cost robots designed for specific tasks such as folding and food preparation.

The company's approach involves developing robots that master one task at a time, allowing embodied AI models to learn and improve in real-world production environments. This strategy aims to reduce complexity and costs, making robotic solutions accessible to businesses of all sizes.

Dyna Robotics' founders, including Lindon Gao and York Yang, who previously sold Caper AI for $350 million, and former DeepMind scientist Jason Ma, bring extensive experience in AI and robotics to the venture. Their goal is to advance towards general-purpose embodied AI by collecting extensive task-specific data and delivering practical solutions to the market.
