DXC Technology Partners with European Space Agency to Launch GenAI Agents

DXC Technology has been awarded a contract by the European Space Agency to develop an AI platform for deploying GenAI agents, enhancing data access and efficiency.

The European Space Agency (ESA) has entered into a new contract with DXC Technology to develop an enterprise AI platform. This platform is designed to enable ESA to efficiently build and deploy Generative AI (GenAI) agents and other AI-powered solutions. The initiative, known as "Ask ESA," aims to enhance the agency's ability to access and manage large volumes of documents and data.

The platform, which runs on NVIDIA technology, is based on generative AI from Mistral AI, a French start-up specializing in large language models. This project was spearheaded by Francois Margottin, ESA's Head of Application Services. The modular design of "Ask ESA" allows for the rapid deployment of AI applications across various departments, ensuring compliance with ESA's AI and data policies while maintaining strong data privacy protections.

This collaboration builds on a 15-year partnership between ESA and DXC Technology, highlighting their ongoing commitment to leveraging AI to improve efficiency and knowledge sharing within the organization. The platform is expected to provide ESA with a robust and scalable solution, facilitating the deployment of practical AI solutions that deliver significant value.
