DXC and ISA Vías Use Digital Twin Tech to Boost Chilean Highway Safety

DXC Technology and ISA Vías have implemented a Digital Twin platform to enhance road safety on Chile's Ruta del Maipo, serving over 7 million vehicles monthly.

DXC Technology and ISA Vías have collaborated to enhance road safety on Chile's Ruta del Maipo using Digital Twin technology, announced in a press release. This critical highway, which accommodates over 7 million vehicles each month, now benefits from a real-time virtual model of the physical roadway.

The Digital Twin platform allows ISA Vías to simulate various emergency scenarios, such as vehicle rollovers and fires, without affecting live traffic. This capability enables road operators to train, test protocols, and refine response strategies, thereby improving emergency preparedness.

In addition to emergency readiness, the platform provides real-time insights to optimize traffic flow, enable predictive maintenance, and support data-driven decisions. Future plans include expanding this technology to more highways and tunnels, setting a new standard for infrastructure protection across Latin America.
