
Dr. Curtis Langlotz Joins Sirona Medical's Board
Sirona Medical has announced that Dr. Curtis Langlotz will join its board of directors, according to a press release. Dr. Langlotz is renowned for his contributions to AI in medicine, particularly in the field of radiology. He is the Founder and Director of Stanford's Center for Artificial Intelligence in Medicine and Imaging and has previously served as the President of the Radiological Society of North America.
Dr. Langlotz's appointment comes as Sirona Medical experiences significant commercial growth. Over the past year, the company has expanded its Unify platform to over 15 new practices and has seen a doubling of usage each quarter for five consecutive quarters. This growth is supported by a recent $45 million Series C investment, bringing the total funds raised by Sirona to $108 million.
Ken Kaufman, CEO of Sirona, expressed confidence in Dr. Langlotz's ability to impact the company's strategic direction, citing his extensive experience and previous role as a technical advisor to Sirona. Dr. Langlotz himself is enthusiastic about contributing to Sirona's mission of advancing AI-powered healthcare solutions.
