DeepL Deploys NVIDIA DGX SuperPOD in Europe for Enhanced Language AI
DeepL has deployed the NVIDIA DGX SuperPOD with DGX GB200 systems in Europe, announced in a press release. This deployment marks the first of its kind in Europe and is operational at DeepL's partner EcoDataCenter in Sweden.
The new computing platform allows DeepL to translate the entire web in just over 18 days, a significant improvement from the previous 194 days. This advancement enhances DeepL's research capabilities and product offerings, enabling faster and more nuanced translations.
The NVIDIA DGX SuperPOD, with its liquid-cooled, rack-scale design, provides the necessary computing power to train new models and develop innovative features for DeepL's Language AI platform. This deployment surpasses the capabilities of DeepL Mercury, the company's previous flagship supercomputer.
DeepL's enhanced infrastructure will support the development of multi-modal models and generative AI features, aiming for a more interactive user experience. The deployment is expected to deliver 30 times the text output compared to previous capabilities, significantly improving translation speed and accuracy.
