Cyberhill Partners to Enhance DoD Biosurveillance with AI

Cyberhill Partners, in partnership with data.world and KUNGFU.AI, has been awarded a contract by the Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) to develop a modernized platform aimed at enhancing the Department of Defense's (DoD) biosurveillance capabilities. This initiative, announced in a press release, will leverage artificial intelligence, machine learning, and advanced data analytics to improve the detection and response to emerging biological threats.
The program is led by the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Nuclear, Chemical, and Biological Defense Programs and follows a competitive evaluation process involving 78 companies. The new platform will integrate secure software infrastructure, knowledge-graph-based analytics, and AI-powered threat detection to provide real-time decision support and operational readiness.
The prototype will be tested in simulated threat environments to assess its performance. This effort underscores the importance of incorporating commercial innovation into national security operations, ensuring that the DoD remains prepared to address biological threats effectively.
