CompTIA Highlights AI's Role in Cybersecurity at RSAC 2025

CompTIA will focus on the impact of AI on cybersecurity jobs and skills at RSAC 2025, introducing a new SecAI+ certification.

CompTIA will emphasize the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on cybersecurity jobs, skills, training, and certifications at the upcoming RSAC 2025 conference, announced in a press release. CompTIA CEO Todd Thibodeaux is scheduled to speak on "AI and the Cybersecurity Workforce of the Future" on May 1 in San Francisco.

Thibodeaux noted that AI's influence on the workforce will be similar to the changes brought by cloud computing, where new job roles emerged, but the greater impact was the integration of cloud skills into existing roles. He highlighted the necessity for cybersecurity professionals to understand AI tools for data analysis, threat monitoring, and system configuration.

To address these evolving needs, CompTIA is developing a new SecAI+ certification, complementing its existing credentials like Security+ and PenTest+. This initiative follows the introduction of AI Essentials, a course designed to build foundational AI knowledge. CompTIA representatives will be available at Booth S-3108 throughout the conference, which runs from April 28 to May 1.
