Cisco and KAUST Launch AI Institute in Saudi Arabia
Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, announced in a press release, Cisco Systems, Inc. and King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) have launched a new AI Institute in Saudi Arabia. The initiative expands their long-standing collaboration and aims to accelerate artificial intelligence research, development, and talent cultivation within the Kingdom.
Located on the KAUST campus, the Institute will combine Cisco’s expertise in networking, cybersecurity, and cloud-scale AI infrastructure with KAUST’s research capabilities and academic resources. It is designed to support Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 goals by fostering innovation and developing a skilled AI workforce.
The establishment of the AI Institute marks a significant milestone in Cisco’s more than two-decade partnership with Saudi Arabia, reflecting ongoing efforts to strengthen the nation’s digital transformation and position it as a regional hub for advanced technology.
