Cents has raised $140 million in a Series C funding round led by Sumeru Equity Partners, with additional participation from Camber Creek, announced in a press release. The round represents the largest single software investment in the laundry services sector to date.
The company plans to use the funds to expand its AI-powered business management platform, which integrates software, proprietary hardware, and payment solutions for laundromats, dry cleaners, and multi-family laundry operations. Cents aims to enhance its customer support, extend product offerings, and invest in new payment hardware infrastructure.
As part of the investment, Sumeru Managing Partner and Co-Founder Sanjeet Mitra will join the Cents board of directors. Cents currently supports over 4,500 laundromat locations across the U.S., processing approximately $1 billion in annual payments.
