CData Connect AI Extends to HIPAA-Regulated Healthcare Environments
CData Software announced in a press release that its Connect AI platform now supports HIPAA-regulated healthcare environments. The update provides a governed data layer that allows healthcare providers, payers, and life sciences organizations to connect AI applications and agents to protected health information while maintaining full compliance with HIPAA.
Connect AI enables credentialed access to live healthcare data without replication or unnecessary data movement. The system includes identity-aware access controls that enforce user permissions, comprehensive audit logging for AI queries and user interactions, and centralized governance across AI assistants and agents. It also supports Business Associate Agreements for eligible customers.
The platform allows healthcare organizations to implement AI powered use cases such as clinical decision support, operations automation, patient services, and healthcare analytics without transferring or exposing sensitive data. CData noted that the solution is already used in regulated industries by major clients including GSK. Connect AI is available immediately for healthcare organizations seeking to deploy HIPAA-compliant AI workloads.
