Brook.ai Study Shows 26% Better Hypertension Control With AI and Nurse Care Model

In a press release, Brook.ai announced results from a peer-reviewed study published in JMIR mHealth and uHealth showing that its AI supported continuous care model achieved 26 percent higher hypertension control compared to traditional remote patient monitoring.

The study compared patients receiving standard monitoring with those enrolled in Brook’s integrated program that combines AI monitoring and dedicated nurse care management. At four weeks, patients in the combined model had 26 percent higher rates of hypertension control, which increased slightly to 27 percent at twelve weeks. Patients who received only higher frequency monitoring showed a 10 percent improvement, while those supported only by Brook nurses saw a 16 percent improvement.

Brook’s system embeds clinician-governed AI into care workflows, synthesizing patient data and clinical context to identify risks and guide interventions. The company stated that this approach enables continuous care at population scale without requiring additional clinical staff or infrastructure.

Brook reported that health systems using its platform have reduced 30-day readmissions by half and achieved an 82 percent patient retention rate. The company said the study provides clinical validation for its continuous care model in managing chronic conditions such as hypertension.
