Biocare Medical and Hamamatsu Partner on Integrated Spatial Biology Platform

November 06, 2025
Biocare Medical and Hamamatsu have announced a strategic collaboration to deliver an integrated spatial biology solution combining staining and imaging systems for research institutions and biopharma companies.

Biocare Medical and Hamamatsu have announced a strategic collaboration to offer an integrated spatial biology workflow, according to a press release. The partnership combines Biocare’s ONCORE Pro X automated staining instrument with Hamamatsu’s MoxiePlex multi-spectral imaging system.

The co-exclusive offering provides an end-to-end solution for multiplex immunofluorescence and immunohistochemistry staining through to high-resolution digital imaging. It is designed for use by pharmaceutical and biotech companies, academic research institutions, and contract research organizations.

Hamamatsu’s MoxiePlex system is already being used in research-use-only projects with cancer centers and CROs. The new agreement expands Hamamatsu’s reach in immunohistochemistry and spatial biology by integrating its imaging technology with Biocare’s staining platforms and global distribution network.

The collaboration aims to support more efficient spatial biology and translational research workflows, offering a reproducible and scalable approach for multiplex immunofluorescence applications.
