Baidu Unveils ERNIE 4.5 Turbo and X1 Turbo at Developer Conference
Baidu, Inc. has launched its latest AI models, ERNIE 4.5 Turbo and ERNIE X1 Turbo, at the Baidu Create 2025 developer conference. Announced in a press release, these models are designed to offer enhanced multimodal capabilities, strong reasoning, and reduced costs.
ERNIE 4.5 Turbo is noted for its faster response times and improved logical reasoning, priced at just 20% of its predecessor, ERNIE 4.5. Meanwhile, ERNIE X1 Turbo, an upgraded deep-thinking reasoning model, is available at half the price of ERNIE X1. Both models are accessible for free on the ERNIE Bot platform.
In addition to the new models, Baidu introduced a suite of AI applications, including Xinxiang, a multi-agent collaboration app, and highly convincing digital humans. The company also announced the AI Open Initiative and the integration of Model Context Protocol (MCP) into its services, aiming to empower developers with seamless access to Baidu's AI tools.
