Autzu to Build First Agnostic Autonomous Hub in San Francisco
In a press release, Autzu announced a new strategic direction focused on constructing the world's first agnostic autonomous hub in San Francisco. The facility will provide physical and digital infrastructure to support the launch and scaling of autonomous mobility operations globally.
Founded in 2017, Autzu is expanding its operations from electric vehicle fleet management into robotics, Physical AI infrastructure, and autonomous calibration. The San Francisco hub will serve as a neutral platform for robotaxi providers, vehicle manufacturers, fleet operators, and mobility companies. It will include services such as fleet readiness, energy coordination, robotic workflows, and autonomous sensor calibration.
The company stated that the hub will act as a shared operating environment, reducing the need for individual operators to build their own facilities. It is expected to feature systems for fleet operations, charging management, inspection, vehicle staging, and data-driven maintenance.
Autzu has previously operated high-utilization EV fleets in cities including New York, Toronto, and Ottawa, and partnered with Uber across North America. The new hub will serve as the company's flagship location and model for future deployments aimed at supporting autonomous mobility at commercial scale.
