Assort Health Expands AI Agents to More Than 1,300 Primary Care Providers

Assort Health said in a press release that its AI agents now support more than 1,300 providers across family medicine, internal medicine, and pediatrics. The company reports that the agents resolve 95% of patient access interactions that do not require staff involvement.

The agents apply rules for scheduling, insurance requirements, referrals, prescription refills, and pediatric care. They also route urgent, sensitive, and clinically complex requests to staff and connect with electronic health record and practice management systems, including Epic and athenahealth.

Annapolis Internal Medicine reported that outreach supported by Assort generated 61% of flu shot appointments across three clinics during an October campaign. It also recorded a 75% reduction in hold times. Pediatric Associates of Southwest Missouri reported saving an average of 45 staff hours per month and increasing staff capacity by 68%.
