ARUP Laboratories will use the Redtail AI Factory supercomputer to develop EventHorizon, a foundation model for analyzing clinical flow cytometry data.

ARUP Laboratories was selected for the second cohort of Redtail AI Factory challenge projects, the laboratory said in a press release. Its project will use Redtail computing resources to develop EventHorizon, a foundation model for analyzing clinical flow cytometry data.

Redtail is a statewide AI supercomputing system managed by the University of Utah. Access will let ARUP researchers train the model on larger datasets and conduct more computational iterations.

EventHorizon is designed to assist pathologists with complex flow cytometry data used to diagnose blood cancers and other hematologic diseases. ARUP said the model could help identify rare disease patterns and reduce diagnostic turnaround times.

Tensordyne Napier: What If One Rack Could Do the Work of Nine?

Tensordyne

This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
