
Artisight Collaborates with Nvidia and KARL STORZ for AI-Driven Operating Rooms
Artisight is expanding its collaboration with Nvidia and KARL STORZ to develop AI-driven solutions for smart operating rooms, as announced in a press release. This partnership aims to integrate Nvidia's advanced AI computing platform into KARL STORZ's operating room technology, enhancing real-time surgical insights and automation.
The collaboration introduces Pathway.AI, a new solution leveraging the Nvidia Jetson platform to provide real-time surgical insights and automate perioperative tasks. This includes sending automated alerts for tasks such as surgery completion and operating room cleaning. Pathway.AI is designed to be highly customizable, adapting to the unique workflows of different medical institutions.
Artisight's CEO, Andrew Gostine, highlighted the improved outcomes and satisfaction scores resulting from these innovations, which aim to raise the standards of care across the perioperative continuum. The collaboration also plans to utilize Nvidia's latest technologies, such as Nvidia Riva for automatic speech recognition, to further enhance the capabilities of smart operating rooms.
