Appier Reports Record Q1 2026 Revenue and Profit Growth Driven by Agentic AI
Appier Group Inc announced in a press release that it achieved record results for the first quarter of fiscal 2026, with revenue rising 29.4% year on year to JPY 12.1 billion. Gross profit increased 35.9% to JPY 6.5 billion, and operating profit grew 153% to JPY 185 million. On a constant currency basis, operating profit rose 473% to JPY 418 million.
The company attributed its performance to the use of Agentic AI across operations, which increased efficiency and drove a 27% rise in gross profit per employee. Regional growth included a 49% increase in revenue from the United States and EMEA, 28% growth in Northeast Asia, and a fourfold increase in Southeast Asia. E-commerce revenue grew over 35%, while online travel and other internet services rose more than 40%.
Appier reported a customer churn rate of 0.275%, the lowest in seven quarters, and recurring revenue accounted for over 95% of total revenue. Average revenue per customer rose 15% year on year on a foreign exchange neutral basis. The company projected second quarter revenue between JPY 12.5 billion and JPY 12.7 billion and operating income between JPY 1.0 billion and JPY 1.2 billion, exceeding earlier forecasts.
Appier was also recognized by Gartner as a representative vendor in the 2026 Product Leader Insight report for AI native applications and solutions, the only Japan listed company included in that category.
