Amcor Opens Global Call for Startups in Rigid Packaging Challenge
Amcor has announced in a press release a global call for startups to take part in its Amcor Lift-Off Rigids challenge, part of the company’s broader Lift-Off innovation program. The initiative connects startups with Amcor’s research, commercial, and corporate venturing teams to explore collaboration and potential investment opportunities.
The challenge targets solutions that advance rigid packaging and related systems. Focus areas include shelf life indicators, injection molding, recyclable barrier technologies, fiber-based packaging, dispenser and applicator systems, retort and pasteurization processes, smart packaging, hybrid rigid and flexible systems, recycling and sorting technologies, and applications of artificial intelligence and machine learning.
Amcor is seeking startups with technologies that have progressed beyond early pilot stages and show clear commercial potential. The program will proceed in three phases: applications open until June 8, 2026, screening and feedback until June 20, and a virtual pitch day on June 30. Selected participants will present their solutions to Amcor teams for possible commercial partnerships, pilot projects, or investment.
