AI Threats and Stricter Regulations Reshape French Cybersecurity
A new research report by Information Services Group reveals that AI threats and stricter regulations are reshaping the cybersecurity landscape in France. The report indicates that French businesses are reassessing their security strategies in response to these changes, with many increasing their security budgets and seeking fresh guidance to combat emerging challenges.
The 2025 ISG Provider Lens Cybersecurity report highlights that French enterprises are adopting AI-powered defenses to meet the demands of new regulations, cloud adoption, and a shortage of skilled workers. Companies are increasingly relying on integrated security platforms for a unified view of potential threats and central oversight of their defenses.
The report also notes that malicious actors are using AI in cyberattacks, prompting companies to invest in AI-driven detection and automated responses. As EU regulations like the NIS2 directive and AI Act become French law, more than 15,000 French businesses are now subject to additional compliance requirements. This shift is driving organizations to integrate governance, risk, and compliance policies into their security strategies.
