Actabl Receives U.S. Patent for Hotel Data Normalization System

May 14, 2026
Actabl has been granted a U.S. patent for its hotel data normalization method that enables consistent, comparable business intelligence across multiple hospitality systems.

Actabl announced in a press release that it has received a U.S. patent for its method of normalizing raw hotel data from various enterprise systems. The patented framework powers Actabl's business intelligence software, which provides hotel operators with consistent and comparable performance insights.

The system processes data from multiple technologies such as property management, point of sale, labor management, accounting, and online travel agency feeds. It reads natural language within the data, determines field meanings, and maps them to a standardized taxonomy. This approach allows hotels to reconcile data across systems and brands without manual adjustments.

The patent also includes a machine learning component trained on Actabl's historical data mapping. This feature will assist hotels in connecting new systems more efficiently by drawing on previous integrations. According to the company, the patented method supports over 400 active integrations across hospitality software platforms.

Actabl's engineering and product team members named on the patent include Clark Brayton, Justin Call, Mike Fatal, Kathryn Green, and Pritesh Patel.
