Achronix Unveils VectorPath 815 FPGA Accelerator Card

Achronix Semiconductor Corporation has launched the VectorPath 815, a new FPGA accelerator card designed to enhance AI inferencing and high-performance computing. The card is powered by the Speedster 7t1500 FPGA, offering significant performance improvements over traditional GPU solutions.

Achronix Semiconductor Corporation has announced the launch of the VectorPath 815 FPGA accelerator card, designed to meet the increasing demands of AI workloads and high-performance computing. In a press release, the company highlighted that the card is powered by the Speedster 7t1500 FPGA, which provides enhanced performance and efficiency for generative AI inferencing.

The VectorPath 815 card is engineered to handle AI inferencing with its massively parallel architecture and customizable data paths, offering a significant advantage over traditional GPUs and CPUs. It supports low-precision inferencing architectures, which are becoming more prevalent in AI applications, and features integrated machine learning processors optimized for compact, quantized workloads.

Achronix's new card delivers over 2,000 tokens per second with a 10 ms inter-token latency, providing a greater than 3x total cost of ownership advantage compared to competitive GPU solutions. The VectorPath 815 is now available in volume production, and customers can access the Achronix Virtual Lab for remote evaluation of FPGA designs optimized for AI and HPC applications.
