Accenture has announced its intent to acquire the French Orlade Group to enhance its capabilities in managing large-scale capital projects across various sectors.

Accenture has announced its intent to acquire the French Orlade Group, a company specializing in advisory and project management services for capital projects. This acquisition aims to enhance Accenture's capabilities in optimizing investments in large-scale projects such as nuclear power plants, power grids, and defense systems, announced in a press release.

Orlade, along with its subsidiaries Op2 and pmO, provides expertise in organizing and executing capital projects with a focus on lead time reduction and predictive data-driven models. The acquisition will bring approximately 200 professionals into Accenture's infrastructure and capital projects practice within Industry X.

This move comes as organizations face challenges in delivering projects on schedule, with only 6% meeting their targets, according to Accenture's research. The acquisition is expected to strengthen Accenture's position in France and enhance its ability to assist clients in sectors such as energy, utilities, rail, aerospace, and defense.
