Agilix Labs said its BusyBee AI grading assistant has processed 6 million K to 12 student submissions. The company estimates the tool, which drafts rubric based scores and comments for teacher review in the Buzz platform, has saved teachers 150,000 hours.

A GSMA Intelligence report produced with Huawei estimates that closing digital skills, trust and AI literacy gaps could add $3.5 trillion to global GDP by 2030. The report recommends expanded AI education, online safety training, multilingual tools and mobile learning. Read more
Georgia State expands Studiosity AI writing support to 7,000 students
Georgia State University and the National Institute for Student Success will expand Studiosity AI writing support to 7,000 students following a 2025 pilot. The university reports that pilot participants had lower DFW rates, higher average grades and more than 1,500 referrals to student support services. Read more
Per Scholas and Salesforce launch AI fellowship pilot
Per Scholas launches an eight month paid Salesforce AI Fellowship for graduates of its administrator training program. Fellows will support New York City nonprofits with Salesforce, Agentforce, AI workflows, data governance and responsible AI adoption. Read more
AFT, UFT and Microsoft announce US school AI safety standard
American Federation of Teachers, United Federation of Teachers and Microsoft announce a legally enforceable AI safety standard for US schools. It restricts the use of student and educator data for AI training and prohibits student tracking. Read more
CompTIA reports 14,000 AI and machine learning job postings
CompTIA reports nearly 603,000 active US technology job postings in July, including almost 14,000 roles seeking artificial intelligence and machine learning skills. Technology sector employment added about 3,700 jobs, while employment in technology occupations across industries declined by 26,000. Read more
Morgan State University and Google Public Sector Plan AI Research Campus
Morgan State University and Google Public Sector plan an AI research campus that will provide GPU computing, Google Cloud services and NVIDIA infrastructure. The project will support research and workforce training across AI, cybersecurity, climate science, health, and urban mobility, while Morgan State University retains control of its Obsidian AI platform. Rutgers and RWJBarnabas Health launch AWS supported innovation hub
Rutgers University and RWJBarnabas Health will open an innovation hub at the HELIX in New Brunswick, New Jersey, supported by Amazon Web Services. Starting in fall 2026, it will bring together students, clinicians, faculty and AWS engineers to develop healthcare prototypes. Read more
