ZincFive Report Highlights AI's Impact on Data Center Energy Strategies
ZincFive has released its 2025 Data Center Energy Storage Industry Insights Report, announced in a press release. The report, developed in collaboration with Data Center Frontier, examines the evolving landscape of energy storage in data centers, driven by AI demands.
Key findings indicate that AI is significantly impacting energy efficiency requirements, with 55% of respondents noting increased demands. Additionally, 54% highlighted the need for higher power density and smaller footprints. The report also underscores the growing importance of sustainability, with 87% of respondents prioritizing it in 2025, up from 81% in 2024.
The report reveals that cost remains the primary driver for changes in energy storage technology, followed by safety and cooling requirements. As data centers adapt to AI-driven workloads, the demand for smarter, scalable energy solutions is becoming increasingly critical.
