Windward Appoints Former NGA Director Bob Sharp as Chief Maritime Intelligence Officer

Windward has appointed retired U.S. Navy Vice Admiral Robert (Bob) Sharp as Chief Maritime Intelligence Officer. Sharp, former Director of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, will guide the company’s intelligence strategy and engagement with defense, government, and commercial clients.

Windward announced in a press release the appointment of retired U.S. Navy Vice Admiral Robert (Bob) Sharp as Chief Maritime Intelligence Officer. Sharp will work with CEO and Co-Founder Ami Daniel to advance the company’s intelligence strategy and strengthen its relationships with defense, government, and commercial organizations.

Sharp served 34 years as a Naval Intelligence Officer. His previous roles include Director of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, Director of the National Maritime Intelligence-Integration Office, and Commanding Officer of the Office of Naval Intelligence. He also served as Director for Intelligence at U.S. Special Operations Command.

Windward stated that Sharp’s experience will support its goal of delivering predictive and decision-focused maritime intelligence. The company said his appointment reflects growing demand for advanced maritime intelligence solutions amid rising global security challenges.
