West Coast Informatics Launches AutomapAI for Clinical Data Normalization
West Coast Informatics has launched AutomapAI, a platform that converts fragmented clinical data into standardized, AI-ready assets through automated normalization at scale, announced in a press release.
AutomapAI automates the conversion of local codes, legacy standards, and unstructured text into standards such as SNOMEDCT, LOINC, ICD10CM, and RXNORM. The platform embeds semantic normalization at the point of data capture or ingestion, helping healthcare organizations reduce integration costs and ensure data consistency for analytics and AI applications.
The system supports four main functions: large-scale semantic normalization, extraction of computable meaning from unstructured text, incremental modernization of legacy data standards, and preparation of data for analytics and AI model training. It operates within an organization's internal security framework to maintain operational security and auditability.
The company stated that AutomapAI builds on its experience in clinical terminology mapping, including work on the SNOMEDCT to ICD11 map for SNOMED International.
