Vertiv Aligns with NVIDIA for 800 VDC AI Data Center Solutions

Vertiv has announced its strategic alignment with NVIDIA's AI roadmap to deploy 800 VDC power architectures for next-generation data centers, with solutions planned for 2026.

Vertiv has announced its strategic alignment with NVIDIA's AI roadmap to deploy 800 VDC power architectures for next-generation data centers, announced in a press release. Vertiv's 800 VDC solutions are designed to support NVIDIA's rack-scale compute platforms and are scheduled for release in the second half of 2026.

The new power architecture aims to enhance efficiency in AI environments by reducing copper usage, current, and thermal losses. Vertiv's upcoming portfolio will include centralized rectifiers, high-efficiency DC busways, rack-level DC-DC converters, and DC-compatible backup systems. This development is part of Vertiv's broader strategy to provide end-to-end power and cooling solutions for AI factories and data centers.

Vertiv's experience in DC power spans over two decades, with a history of deploying higher-voltage DC architectures across various industries. The company's 800 VDC portfolio is a continuation of its efforts to meet the demands of AI factories, offering both AC and DC architectures as a strategic differentiator in the evolving data center landscape.
