Verana Health Releases Largest Real World Prostate Cancer Dataset

May 01, 2026
Verana Health has introduced the world's largest curated real world dataset for prostate cancer, compiled from over 430,000 patients and drawn from the American Urological Association Quality Registry.

Verana Health has introduced what it describes as the world's largest curated real world dataset for prostate cancer, announced in a press release. The dataset was unveiled ahead of the 2026 American Urological Association Annual Meeting in Washington, DC.

The dataset draws from the American Urological Association Quality Registry and includes electronic health record data from more than 430,000 patients. Verana Health uses artificial intelligence and large language models to extract and harmonize structured and unstructured clinical data. The dataset includes key variables such as Gleason Score, TNM Stage, PSA levels, and castration status.

According to the company, the dataset enables researchers to study disease detection, treatment patterns, and outcomes. It also allows evaluation of whether patients are receiving care consistent with AUA guidelines. The data can be used to support early detection, validate treatment paths, and identify clinical trial candidates.

The dataset is supported by Verana Health's recent merger with COTA, expanding its network to more than 30 academic medical centers and over 10 million accessible oncology patient records.
