VCTI Expands Broadband IQ to Accelerate Long Haul Fiber Planning
The company VCTI announced in a press release new enhancements to its Broadband IQ platform that accelerate long haul fiber route design by up to forty times. The update targets hyperscale and AI infrastructure projects, enabling faster planning and deployment of fiber networks.
Broadband IQ combines route optimization, geology data, permitting visibility, demand analysis, and financial modeling in a single system. The platform reduces a typical 100 mile planning process from days or weeks to minutes by automating engineering and cost analysis tasks.
New features include automated route planning across terrain and infrastructure, real time scenario modeling, and integrated subsurface visibility for identifying obstacles such as rock formations and rail crossings. The platform also provides permitting and jurisdictional insights to help avoid delays and assess incremental revenue opportunities along planned routes.
By integrating technical, environmental, and financial intelligence, Broadband IQ allows operators to compare build options, optimize for cost and constructability, and make investment decisions more quickly. VCTI said the tool helps service providers scale fiber deployment to meet rising demand from AI and data center growth.
