Valid Eval Expands Work with Defense Innovation Unit on Acquisition Tools

November 10, 2025
Valid Eval has expanded its collaboration with the Defense Innovation Unit after supporting a U.S. Department of Defense prize challenge for unmanned aircraft systems. The company will now provide its secure SaaS platform to support additional DIU competitions and sourcing efforts.

Valid Eval has expanded its collaboration with the Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) following its performance supporting DIU's Project G.I. prize challenge in July, announced in a press release. The challenge was designed to help the Department of Defense source, test, and scale next-generation unmanned aircraft systems across multiple domains.

Under the new contract, Valid Eval will support additional prize competitions across DIU, providing tools that streamline scouting and sourcing efforts. The company’s secure SaaS platform automates parts of the acquisition and source selection process, replacing manual methods with data-driven evaluation based on requirements and performance.

According to the company, DIU’s adoption of these tools is intended to accelerate the delivery of advanced UAS technologies to Department of Defense leaders and operational teams, improving the speed and fairness of acquisition processes.
