Trip.com Group opened its Airline Global Conference 2026 in Amsterdam, highlighting AI integration across its operations and unveiling a digital identity pilot with IATA that enables travelers to use mobile wallets for booking verification.

Trip.com Group opened its Airline Global Conference 2026 in Amsterdam, announced in a press release. The event gathered airline partners, airports, global distribution systems, and travel technology companies to discuss how technology and collaboration are shaping the future of aviation.

During the conference, Chief Operating Officer Xing Xiong described how the company is applying artificial intelligence across its operations to improve internal efficiency and customer service. Senior Product Director Amy Wei presented examples such as the TripGenie assistant, which enhances personalization and usability for travelers.

Trip.com Group also introduced a pilot digital identity initiative developed with the International Air Transport Association. The Customer ID program allows travelers to use digital identities stored in mobile wallets like Google Wallet and Apple Wallet to autofill booking details. The pilot will begin with users in the United Kingdom and the United States, with participating airlines including Air Canada, Turkish Airlines, and Qatar Airways, and technology partner Hopae.

The conference agenda covered topics such as evolving traveler expectations, corporate travel through TripBiz, and sustainability. The event underscored Trip.com Group's growing presence in Europe, with the company reporting a 71 percent year over year increase in international inbound bookings in Northern Europe.
