TrendAI, part of Trend Micro, announced a collaboration with Anthropic to expand the use of Claude Opus 4.7 for security research in a press release. The partnership aims to improve vulnerability detection and risk mitigation by using AI accelerated threat intelligence to identify and address exploitable weaknesses before they impact organizations.

TrendAI is participating in Anthropic’s Cyber Verification Program, which provides credentials for defensive use of advanced AI models. The program supports research into how AI can be applied to discover and mitigate security risks more effectively.

TrendAI’s AESIR platform, launched in 2025, combines automated analysis with expert oversight. It uses Claude Opus 4.7 to simulate attacker reasoning and autonomously identify real vulnerabilities across complex software environments. Insights from AESIR feed into TrendAI Vision One, which prioritizes vulnerabilities, maps attack paths, and enables quick mitigation including virtual patching.

According to TrendAI, its State of AI Security Report forecasts between 2,800 and 3,600 AI-related CVEs in 2026. AESIR was designed to operate at that scale, supporting organizations in managing emerging risks in AI security.
