Tencent Cloud launched DataBuddy, a managed workbench that uses AI agents for data engineering, governance, analytics and data science.

Tencent Cloud announced in a press release the launch of DataBuddy, a managed workbench that uses AI agents for data and AI tasks. The service supports data engineering, governance, analytics and data science workflows.

DataBuddy can build data pipelines from natural language requests, run checks across metadata and data quality, provide conversational analysis and automate root cause analysis. Tencent Cloud says the platform can reduce model deployment time from 30 days to seven days.

The platform includes a business semantic layer, controls for governing and auditing AI agents, and unified operations for data, machine learning and AI systems. Customers can connect existing analytical processing engines without moving their data or use Tencent Cloud storage and computing services.

DataBuddy is available in China, Thailand, South Korea and Indonesia. Tencent Cloud also plans availability across Europe, North America and South America.
