Teledyne LeCroy has launched the Xena Z1608 Edun, a 1.6Tbps Ethernet Traffic Generator designed for AI and high-performance computing applications.

Teledyne LeCroy has launched the Xena Z1608 Edun Ethernet Traffic Generator, supporting 1.6Tbps Ethernet with CR/KR-compliant 224G PAM4, announced in a press release. This new tool is designed to meet the evolving test requirements for next-generation AI-driven Ethernet technologies.

The Xena Z1608 Edun offers a scalable, lab-friendly form factor and supports a wide range of Ethernet speeds, including 1.6TE, 800GE, 400GE, 200GE, and 100GE. It utilizes both 224G and 112G SerDes, making it essential for validating the performance of next-gen AI devices, switches, NICs, transceivers, and cables.

The device integrates seamlessly with the XenaManager and the Python-based Xena OpenAutomation (XOA) software suite, supporting industry-standard test methodologies such as RFC2544, RFC2889, and Ultra Ethernet testing. Its OSFP-1600 interface supports both optical and copper media, offering broad compatibility and deployment flexibility across diverse test environments.
