TDK Launches edgeRX Pro Sensor Node for Industrial Monitoring
TDK Corporation announced in a press release the launch of edgeRX Pro, a sensor node for its TDK SensEI edgeRX platform. The module adds higher sampling frequencies, stronger AI models, and wider sensor support for industrial monitoring and analytics.
edgeRX Pro combines vibration, acoustic, magnetic, temperature, and rotational motion sensing in a compact enclosure with an IP67 rating. It includes a six axis IMU, a magnetometer, a digital microphone, and edge AI processing for analytics on the device.
The module supports battery operation and USB wired power, with USB power prioritized when connected. TDK says the sensor can run for up to 10 years on battery power and is designed for long term monitoring in industrial environments.
TDK lists use cases including compressed air leak detection, acoustic anomaly detection, rotational and alignment analysis, oil and gas leak detection, and rail component and bearing anomaly detection.
