Taxbit has appointed Colby Mangels, formerly of the OECD, as its Global Head of Government Solutions. Mangels played a key role in developing the Crypto-Asset Reporting Framework and will now focus on advancing digital asset compliance systems for governments and enterprises.

Taxbit announced in a press release the appointment of Colby Mangels as its Global Head of Government Solutions. Mangels previously served at the OECD, where he was a principal architect of the Crypto-Asset Reporting Framework (CARF), the first international standard for tax transparency in the crypto sector, now adopted by more than 70 countries.

A U.S.-licensed lawyer, Mangels brings experience in tax policy, anti-money laundering, and financial regulation. At the OECD, he contributed to the development of both CARF and the latest amendments to the Common Reporting Standard (CRS), and participated in peer reviews of countries’ compliance with global transparency standards.

In his new role, Mangels will lead efforts at Taxbit to expand collaboration with governments, regulators, and international organizations. His team will focus on implementing digital asset reporting and transparency systems that align policy goals with technology solutions.

Taxbit, headquartered in Draper, Utah, provides tax and accounting compliance platforms for digital assets, serving enterprises, financial institutions, and government agencies across multiple jurisdictions.
