Supabase Secures $100M in Series E Funding at $5B Valuation
Supabase has raised $100 million in Series E funding, achieving a valuation of $5 billion. The funding round was co-led by Accel and Peak XV, with participation from Figma Ventures and other returning investors. This latest round comes just four months after their Series D, bringing the total funding to over $500 million.
Supabase plans to use the new capital to enhance its platform, particularly focusing on 'Multigres', an enterprise-scale version designed for large, data-intensive applications. The company has also announced plans to allow community members to co-invest alongside institutional partners, reflecting its commitment to its open-source community.
The funding will also support Supabase's ongoing efforts to serve its community of over 4 million developers and to continue building open-source tools to scale Postgres. The company has hired Sugu Sougoumarane, co-creator of Vitess, to lead the development of its enterprise-scale initiatives.
