SU Group Gets Macao Rights for Inspec Spider Robot
SU Group announced in a press release that its Shine Union Macao subsidiary has signed an exclusive distribution agreement with Green Light Multiplex for the Inspec Spider inspection robot in Macao.
The agreement gives Shine Union Macao the sole right to market, advertise, distribute, and sell the robot in the Macao Special Administrative Region during the term of the deal.
Inspec Spider is a robotic system for high mast lighting inspection and maintenance. It can climb polygonal high masts and poles up to 35 meters, record rust and surface conditions with multiple cameras, and use 360 degree imaging.
The system includes artificial intelligence assisted analysis, wired and wireless controls, and automatic tilting and balancing. It is designed to allow inspections from ground level instead of requiring personnel to work at height.
The robot has received a Silver Edison Award and a Gold Medal at the International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva. It has also been field tested at Hong Kong International Airport.
