Stocktwits Acquires Thematic to Enhance AI Investment Research

Stocktwits has acquired the AI startup Thematic, announced in a press release. This acquisition aims to enhance Stocktwits' investment research capabilities by utilizing Thematic's AI technology to analyze 17 years of community data, including investor sentiment and behavior patterns.

With over 10 million users worldwide, Stocktwits plans to integrate Thematic's technology to offer a suite of AI-driven tools for research, discovery, and decision-making. These tools will leverage Stocktwits' unique blend of real-time social sentiment and proprietary insights, introducing features like the Stocktwits Social Relative Strength Index (SRS).

The integration of Thematic's AI capabilities will allow Stocktwits to provide personalized, actionable insights to its users, enhancing their ability to make informed investment decisions. The new AI tools are expected to be released starting in Q4 2025, including an institutional-quality index builder with backtesting capabilities.
