Stand and Frontline Wildfire Defense Partner to Offer Insurance Discounts for Fire-Ready Homes

May 26, 2026
Stand and Frontline Wildfire Defense have launched a program in California that gives homeowners insurance premium discounts for installing wildfire defense systems. The initiative uses Stand’s physics-based model to assess risk and determine eligibility for coverage.

Stand and Frontline Wildfire Defense have announced a partnership to offer homeowners in California lower insurance premiums for installing wildfire defense systems, according to a press release.

Homeowners who install a Frontline exterior defense system can receive an assessment from Stand that simulates the home’s survivability with and without the system. The analysis can unlock coverage and risk-adjusted premiums that were previously unavailable in high-risk areas.

Stand underwrites wildfire risk using its physics-based frontier model that simulates how fire, wind, and embers interact with individual homes. The partnership introduces an approach where homes equipped with active defense systems can qualify for lower insurance rates.

Frontline’s system provides automated 24-hour exterior protection through zoned sprinkler coverage, biodegradable foam integration, and remote monitoring. It includes battery backup, satellite connectivity, and dual water systems to remain functional during infrastructure failures. The program is available statewide in California, subject to capacity limits.
