Splight Secures $12.4M to Enhance Grid Transmission with AI

August 26, 2025
Splight has raised $12.4 million to expand its Dynamic Congestion Management technology, aiming to improve grid transmission capacity in the U.S. and Europe.

Splight has raised $12.4 million in a SAFE funding round led by Blue Bear Capital, announced in a press release. The funding will be used to accelerate the deployment of its Dynamic Congestion Management™ (DCM) technology across the U.S. and Europe. This technology aims to unlock additional transmission capacity on congested electric grids using machine learning.

With over 3 gigawatts of grid assets under management, Splight plans to scale its commercial and technical teams to meet the growing demand for power from electric grids. The company will also launch new technical capabilities, including AI-enabled electrical studies for data centers and enhanced DCM algorithms.

The new capital will support Splight's go-to-market strategy for its DCM technology, which can be deployed by utilities to provide extra transmission capacity or increase operational reliability. This approach offers a targeted solution for renewable power plants and large loads constrained by transmission access limitations.
