Spacedock Interface to Power Space Robotics Workers’ Modular Assembly System

October 30, 2025
Space Robotics Workers has chosen Spacedock’s intelligent interface for integration with its Smart Truss system, enabling modular in-space assembly and servicing. A ground demonstration is planned for early 2026 to validate autonomous docking and data transfer capabilities.

In a press release, Space Robotics Workers announced it has selected Spacedock’s intelligent interface for use with its robotic Smart Truss system, a modular structure designed for orbital assembly and maintenance of space infrastructure.

The companies will conduct a ground demonstration in early 2026 to test autonomous capture and structural connection between Smart Truss units. The test will validate Spacedock’s interface for autonomous berthing, docking, and the transfer of power, fluid, and data in a controlled environment.

Spacedock’s interface functions as an AI-enabled, cyber-secure hardware and software layer that supports modular, upgradable space systems. Each unit acts as a data node for diagnostics, cybersecurity, and optimization, forming part of a scalable architecture for future orbital construction and servicing missions.

Space Robotics Workers, based in Spain, develops robotic technologies for on-orbit assembly, maintenance, and debris removal. The collaboration supports its roadmap toward robotic construction of commercial low Earth orbit platforms and other persistent orbital structures.
